Massage Techniques
Therapeutic massage is the manipulation of muscles and tissues of
the body to prevent and alleviate any pain, discomfort, or stress the
client may be having.

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork...

Swedish Massage:
This is a full body massage that is designed to stimulate
circulation and provide an overall relaxing experience.
This is the most commonly known type of massage.

Deep Tissue:
This therapy works to release chronic patterns of tension.  
Connective tissue and muscles are encouraged to release
and to function properly. The application is made up of
slow and deep pressure strokes.

Chair Massage:
Is a fully clothed massage that has great health benefits.
The massage therapist uses techniques that focus on the
upper part of the body- neck, shoulders, back, and arms.
This can be done in the office, at a workplace, or at a
special event.  

Reflexology Massage:
This is a treatment that combines foot reflexology and
massage. It is a wondreful treatment for people who are
on their feet all day. This therapy works well to promote
circulation and enhance the body's ability to heal it's self.

Hot Stone Therapy:
This is a combination of heated stones and a full body
massage.  As heat is applied to the body, it pulls blood to
the area and eases muscle tension.  Rolled and glided the
stones create a therapeutic and relaxing massage
session.  

Sports Massage:
This is a type of massage that is used for athletes typically
before, during, and after events. This therapy helps to
alleviate stress & tension that builds up in the body's soft
tissues during physical activity.

Mud Wrap:
This combines the detoxifying properties of sea algae with
the hydrating and exfoliating benefits of clay, ancient sea
salts, brewer's yeast, and spirulina to provide metabolic
stimulation of the skin.  Ideal for a cellulite, weight-loss
program or a gentle detoxification.

Couples Massage:
Is when two people would like to get a massage at the
same time in the same room. There will be two massage
therapist. Each massage therapist  will work on one
person focusing on that client's needs. The clients may
talk to each other or just relax knowing that the other is
close by.  

Paraffin Wax Treatment:
This treatment can be added to a massage or done
solely. When done as a individual treatment the massage
therapist will gentle massage the clients hands and feet
and then apply the mixture....
Adding it to a massage will include the client dipping  their
hands or feet into a warm wax mixture. The client will dip
several times adding a layer each time...

Hands/feet are then placed in a plastic covering promoting
hydration among other health benefits.  When coverings
are removed hands/feet are supple and smooth.

Salt Scrub or Sugar Scrub:
A special mixture is combined and applied to the clients
back during a relaxing massage.  The salts stimulate
circulation and remove dead skin cells.  This treatment
adds ten minutes to your massage.

Alcohol Rub:
A special solution is combined and applied to the clients
back. A friction rub is done thus causing to exfoliate the
back.
