Frequently
Asked Questions
On the first visit what should I expect?

On the first visit you will be given an intake form to fill out. It asks various
questions about your general health, any injuries that you have or previously did
have, and whether you are under a doctors care for any reason. The massage
therapist will look over the form and ask you any other question she might have.

The massage therapist will briefly go over what will happen in the massage. She
will give you instructions for getting on the table. She will then leave the room
so that you can get undressed, and get on to the table.

Do I need to be completely undressed?

That is up to you! Get undressed to your comfort level. The therapist will never
expose you in any manner. The only part of your body that is un draped is the
part she is working on. However, people that have lower back issues should
know that the lower back may not be easily accessed with underwear on.

Can I talk during the massage?

Yes, If that is what will make you feel comfortable. I f you are getting a massage
for relaxation you probably will not want to talk anyway. For deep tissue work the
therapist will need to check in with you to check on pressure, and to remind you
to breathe, and to relax.

Should I drink water after a massage?

Yes, You should drink plenty of water to flush the toxins out of the body that may
have been broken up in the session.

Will I be sore after a massage?

You may be sore or ache for 24-36 hours after a deep tissue massage. It is a
normal response. Things get stirred up and the feeling is a healing response.
